Situated in a peaceful corner of the Apulian countryside, Villa Hyria is approximately 3 km from the town of Oria, a typical medioeval and baroque village whose origins date back to 1000 B.C.
Villa Hyria (180 m2) lies at the center of a garden of approx. 5000 m2, completely fenced in and surrounded by hedges that guarantee total privacy, with a pine-wood on the front and a field with olive trees on the rear. Armchairs and a breakfast table stand under the spacious front veranda, where the scent of the pine resin and the sun rising through the trees will give you the “Good morning”.
In the rear, a roomy wooden gazebo holds a fitted wall (barbecue, cooking surface, sink) for open air lunches near the swimming pool, a small outdoor bathroom (WC, sink, washing machine). There is a swimming pool (15m x6m) with a large solarium area, equipped with deck chairs and cots, and an outdoor shower.
Modern furnishings of good quality. TV, DVD/CD player, dishwasher, oven, micro-wave oven, freezer, washing machine, barbecue, screens on doors and windows, A/C in the bedrooms. Interior: large living room (40 m2) with direct access to the front veranda (50 m2), kitchen/dining room with access to the garden, two double bedrooms (one with an suite bathroom with shower), one bedroom with two single beds, 1 bathroom with shower, a storage cupboard.
From the sun-drenched flagstones one enjoys a splendid view of the surrounding plain and the hills of the nearby town of Oria, over which tower the 13th century castle of Federico II and the baroque Cathedral.
Oria offer all services: stores of all kinds, banks, many excellent restaurants, as well as a baroque piazza that is enlivened all year long by an open air bars where you can enjoy excellent ice cream (quite nearby you can visit the museum of the local traditionally made ice cream) or relax with a glass of good wine and delicious appetizers. However, in the narrow whitewashed alleys of the medieval Jewish ghetto of the old town, one breathes the real and rare peaceful atmosphere of a small village of past times.
The villa stands half way between the Ionian and the Adriatic Seas (approx. 20 km), where you can find both beaches with modern services and totally isolated beaches surrounded by an intact nature and with clear blue water.
